About AAA

The idea of Asian Angling Adventures was conceived in 2002 when founder Jon Ingi Agustsson took his first trips to the reservoirs of Northern-Thailand. After having spent 6 years guiding in Chile, Russia and his native country of Iceland prior to arriving in Thailand, it was clear to him that there was a great potential and this unique fishery had to be brought to the world.

For 3 years he fished many of the locations and then took 1 full year to prepare for AAA’s launch. Countless hours were spent on prepping our boats and kayaks, training of guides, safety drills, food and cuisine and of course fishing. On this long journey many good people were of great assistance and some are now partners in AAA.
